This place is special, it just is. Do you like fried things? Do you like a restaurant stuck in time with a fried chicken dinner that has never hanged because it is just so dagum good? Then you have found your chicken fried heaven, my friend. I have been coming here for many years, even since I was a young kid and we would pass through Seeley Lake and this place is always great. They don't try and church up the menu, just get the fried chicken dinner and call it a day. You can die happy now, I promise.

Passed by this place on my road trip and decided to give it a try based on other's reviews. Unfortunately I came at breakfast time and there's no fried chicken served. I guess there's not a big following for chicken and waffles here. Moving on, I got the chicken fried steak with eggs and hash browns. Lemme tell you...it was great. Eggs and hash browns were cooked perfectly. Chicken fried steak was done just right with a good gravy sauce. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Holy Crap this place was good. We weren't locals and everyone could tell. It was like crickets when we opened the door BUT a local told us their Fried Chicken was the best and all fresh, never frozen. I ordered the half a chicken dinner. WOW, it was unreal. One of the best I've ever had. Can't wait to go back.

The chicken dinner is the best chicken I've ever had from a resteraunt. When family and friends come to visit from out of town, they frequently request a chicken dinner night. Great food, great service. The chicken dinners are fresh, cooked to order. They take 25 to 30 minutes to cook. Call in advance to have it ready for you when you arrive.

I was up in the area on a fishing trip with a buddy who grew up in Seeley. We stopped in for a late lunch on a Sunday. It was not overly busy in the restaurant part but the Casino/Bar was jumping. The service was good and attentive. However, I ordered some soup and chicken fingers and it was subpar. The soup was something I could get out of a can and the chicken fingers were overcooked and hard. I will be checking out other options in the area.

Everything you'd want from a place called the Chicken Coop. You can find it easily - just look for the giant white rooster on the roof. Hubby and I eat here every couple of years when we decide to drive up the west side of Flathead Lake, then back to Missoula via Seeley for a little scenery. This is a no-frills, down-to-earth family-friendly stop. If you've been to the Double-Front in Missoula, you've been here. Our waitress told us our Montana governor, Steve Bullock, and his two kids sat at our table last night. Montana is full of experiences like that. We both got the chicken dinners, as always. He got slaw, I upgraded to cheesy tots. Everything was fabulous. Waitress brought us homemade cocktail sauce for the chicken this time - it was great! Bathrooms are very clean - as is the restaurant. Didn't spend time in the bar/casino except to use the bathroom. We'll be back again! They DO take credit cards now!

Good Food, Good Service, Good price, Cozy place to eat. I go back each time i am in the area. Great cooked chicken! Decent Burger. I have been to this restaurant many times, and have never been disappointed. They have a spacious dining room and a TV with the ballgame on. It is an old diner in an old town, but worth the stop if you are hungry. Beware that they do not accept credit cards. Cash or Check only!
